The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last 24 hours.

Number of calls
From 6:00am on April 21 to 6:00am on April 22, we received 529 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials.
A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows:
- Central: 88
- East: 122
- Midtown: 77
- North: 76
- South: 78
- West: 72
- Other: 16
"Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.
Notable calls
Tuesday, April 21:
- 7:46am – East – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a residence for a disturbance involving an 18-year-old male subject. The subject was looking for his weed pen and started checking the victim's pockets. The victim told the subject they did not have it. The subject put his arm around the victim's throat which impeded the victim's breathing. The victim had visible marks. The subject shoved the victim's head into a wall. The subject chased the victim around the apartment threatening to kill the victim. The subject damaged the victim's phone. A young child was present during this incident. The subject was arrested for domestic strangulation, domestic battery, domestic disorderly conduct, and domestic criminal damage to property.
- 3:10pm – North – Disturbance: Caller reported that there were “people with guns" trying to shoot them. Officers responded to the address provided and made contact with a subject/victim. The victim reported that a 23-year-old male subject, with whom they have a domestic relationship with, threatened to shoot them. The subject was observed earlier in the day by the victim in possession of a handgun. The victim also reported several physical altercations recently with the subject. The subject is on probation/parole and his location was obtained. The subject was contacted and detained. The subject had a backpack on them which contained a firearm. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct while armed, domestic false imprisonment, domestic disorderly conduct, domestic battery, domestic false imprisonment, carrying a concealed weapon, felon in possession of a firearm, and a probation hold.
- 4:28pm – Central – Disturbance: Officers observed a physical altercation take place near Peace Park. A subject reported that a 35-year-old male subject pushed a subject out of a wheelchair and shoved another subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and received an additional charge of threats to law enforcement for threatening the officers on the way to jail.
- 5:56pm – South – Drug Incident: An officer observed a hand-to-hand transaction take place involving a 36-year-old male subject. Contact attempted with the subject in a vehicle. The driver drove away. The vehicle is located nearby. Witnesses described seeing the subject leave the vehicle with a backpack and jump over fences and through yards. Subject not located. Backpack located/recovered that contained marijuana, scales, and baggies. Subject identified. Probation/parole placed a hold on the subject, who remains at-large. Subject will also be arrested on drug-related offenses.
- 10:10pm – East – Child Abuse: Officers responded to a residence for sounds of a disturbance. Contact made with a 24-year-old male subject. An argument, which turned physical, took place between the subject and a minor. The subject was arrested for physical abuse of a child and resisting.
- 10:58pm – Central – Threats Complaint: Victim reported that two subjects were threatening them after another subject was arrested. Probable cause developed to arrest the subjects, who remain at-large.
Wednesday, April 22:
- 12:01am – West – Adult Arrested Person: An officer observed a motorcyclist (28-year-old male) driving at a high rate of speed. A traffic stop was attempted and the driver did not stop. The motorcyclist was located in a parking lot and it appeared it had crashed. The driver was arrested for eluding and bail jumping. The driver was cited for imprudent speed.
- 1:01am – South – Adult Arrested Person: Officers observed subject arguing at McDonalds on S. Park Street. Contact made with two subjects. The victim reported being physically assaulted by the 39-year-old female subject. The subject attempted to walk away and was detained. The subject resisted officers. The subject kicked and spit at officers. The subject threatened officers. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct, resisting, threats to law enforcement, and an outstanding warrant. The subject was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.
- 2:02am – North – Adult Arrested Person: A 31-year-old male subject, description matching that of a suspect of a theft from auto incident, was observed on a bicycle. The subject was apprehended. The subject was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of drugs, and an outstanding warrant.
