The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last 24 hours.

Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

Number of calls

From 6:00am on April 6 to 6:00am on April 7, we received 444 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials.

A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows:

  • Central: 58
  • East: 75
  • Midtown: 91 
  • North: 78
  • South: 64
  • West: 69
  • Other: 9

"Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Notable calls

Tuesday, April 7:

Priority calls only from 10:57am to 12:15pm due to calls for service.

Priority calls only from 3:57pm to 4:27pm due to calls for service. 

  • 4:26am – East – Adult Arrested Person: DOC issued a warrant for a 38-year-old male subject/client. The subject was located, arrested, and transported to jail.   
  • 10am – East – Assist EMS: Officers responded, along with EMS/Fire, to a report of a pulseless non-breathing subject. MFD was able to get a pulse back and transported the subject to a local hospital. Nothing suspicious identified.
  • 12:20pm – North – Check Area: Caller reported observing several subjects around their apartment from their camera (caller was at work). Officers arrived in the area and observed/detained 4 subjects. A 30-year-old male subject had an outstanding warrant. He was transported to jail.  No other concerns/charges.
  • 3:16pm – South – Adult Arrested Person: Officers responded to a probation/parole office due to a 31-year-old male subject not being cooperative with DOC. The subject was not cooperative with officers. The subject was arrested for a DOC hold, disorderly conduct, and resisting causing injury.
  • 3:28pm – Central – Disturbance: Officers responded to a fight at the Beacon and at the BRT station at Blair/E. Washington Ave. Video surveillance showed two subjects mutually fighting (52-year-old male, 56-year-old male). The 52-year-old was arrested for disorderly conduct, battery, and trespassing. The other subject was transported to a local hospital for injuries sustained. He was released with an order-in citation for disorderly conduct. 
  • 4:51pm – North – Disturbance: Officers responded to a school where a fight was taking place between two students outside. An 18-year-old male subject pulled out a knife during the fight. No injuries sustained. The subject was cited and released to their parent(s) for disorderly conduct while armed in a school zone.
  • 9:51pm – Central – Intoxicated Driver: A 29-year-old male subject was driving the wrong way into oncoming traffic (N. Blair/Mifflin). A traffic stop was conducted. The driver was found to be impaired. The driver was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (1st offense).
  • 9:59pm – North – Disturbance: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 21-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and domestic battery.

Wednesday, April 8:

  • 12:38am – North – Suspicious Person: Officers responded to the 2300 block of Brentwood Parkway for a subject (29-year-old male) checking vehicles. The subject was contacted. The subject fled on foot but was apprehended after getting stuck on a fence. The subject was arrested for trespassing, possession of drug paraphernalia, and resisting.
