Number of calls
From 6:00am on August 27 to 6:00am on August 28, we received 440 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials.
A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows:
- Central: 87
- East: 93
- Midtown: 73
- North: 70
- South: 53
- West: 49
- Other: 15
"Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the city. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Thursday, August 27:
Priority calls only from 7:53am to 12:20pm due to calls for service.
- 7:36am - North – Traffic Crash: Officers responded to Northport Dr at Packers Ave where a vehicle struck a pole and crashed into a tree. The 26-year-old male driver was arrested and cited with numerous traffic violations. Additional charges may be forthcoming.
- 11:04am - South – Exposure: Officers responded to the bike path near John Nolen Dr and Rimrock Rd where the 45-year-old male suspect was exposing himself. The suspect was arrested on a warrant and newly charged for exposure.
- 6:06pm - East – OMVWI: Officers responded to Milwaukee St at Lansing St where a motor vehicle collided with a bicycle. The cyclist was treated at the hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The 63-year-old male suspect/driver was arrested and charged with OWI 3rd.
- 10:09pm - Central – Weapons Offense: Officers responded to Cheba Hut where during an argument, an unidentified female suspect brandished a gun. Officers developed probable cause to arrest the suspect once identified for disorderly conduct while armed. A charge of carrying a concealed weapon could potentially be referred.
- 10:30pm - Central – Death Investigation: Officers responded to a residence where an 81-year-old man was found deceased. Nothing suspicious on scene.
- 11:30pm - East – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a residence where the 40-year-old male suspect yelled at the victim in a threatening manner, causing the victim to fear for his safety. Officers developed probable cause to arrest the suspect for domestic disorderly conduct. Suspect is at large.
