The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last 24 hours.

Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

Number of calls

From 6:00am on August 31 to 6:00am on September 1, we received 455 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials.

A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows:

• Midtown: 79

• South: 34
• West: 82
• Other: 6

"Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Notable calls

Monday, August 31:

• 3:32am – Central – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a residence for a disturbance involving a 20-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic false imprisonment, domestic intimidation of a victim, domestic disorderly conduct, and resisting. 
• 3:45pm – Midtown – Adult Arrested Person: A 22-year-old male subject with a probation/parole hold was taken into custody. The subject was transported to jail. The subject became uncooperative while at the jail during the booking process. The subject kicked an officer. The subject was booked into jail on the probation/parole hold and a new charge of battery to law enforcement.
• 4:48pm – North – Disturbance: Officers responded to a business for an unwanted subject (34-year-old female) causing a disturbance trying to steal merchandise. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct, felony bail jumping, and misdemeanor bail jumping. 
• 5:59pm – North – Disturbance: Officers responded to the 2300 block of E. Washington Ave. It was reported that a 54-year-old male subject was laying in the roadway yelling, stopping traffic, and walking in front of vehicles. The subject was contacted and safely detained. It was found that the subject had gotten into an argument with a family member and threatened them. The subject also threatened passing motorists, neighbors, and pedestrians. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and disorderly conduct.  

Tuesday, September 1:

• 12:40am – North – Mental Health Conveyance: Caller reported they were intoxicated and hurting themselves. Officers contacted the subject, who was uncooperative. The subject began to walk away from officers, towards Hwy 51. Traffic shut down. The subject was detained and transported to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation. Emergency detention sought/approved. Placement pending.
• 3:01am – Midtown – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 24-year-old male subject. The victim sustained visible injuries. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and battery (domestic-related charges).
• 3:10am – East – Recovered Stolen Vehicle: A stolen vehicle was observed by an officer. The vehicle was unoccupied. A suspect was identified. Contact was attempted without success.      Probable cause developed to arrest a 17-year-old male subject. 
• 3:30am – Central – Check Person:  Officers received a request to check the welfare of a possible suicidal subject. Phone ping completed. No answer at the residence. Officers made entry and located the subject not moving or responding to stimuli. The subject was transported to a local hospital. The subject denied being suicidal. Final outcome pending.
