The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last 24 hours.
Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
Number of calls
From 6:00am on December 3 to 6:00am on December 4, we received 392 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials.
A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows:

- West: 60
- Other: 10
"Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.
Notable calls
Wednesday, December 3:
Priority calls only from 11:02am to 12:05pm due to calls for service/staffing available.
- 8:23am – East – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a 911 disconnect. Officers arrived in the area and determined a disturbance took place involving a 28-year-old female suspect. The suspect was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.
- 10:15am – East – Trespass: Two suspects (53-year-old male and 67-year-old male) were inside a unit at Porchlight without permission. One of the suspects was evicted yesterday and found inside the unit by officers. The 53-year-old suspect was arrested for criminal trespass to dwelling and misdemeanor bail jumping. The 67-year-old suspect was arrested for criminal trespass to dwelling, resisting, possession of cocaine, and felony bail jumping.
- 10:54am – Midtown – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a disturbance at a residence. A subject was taken into protective custody and transported to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation. Probable cause developed to charge the subject with domestic disorderly conduct. Final outcome pending. *Emergency detention not supported. The subject (22-year-old male) was transported to jail. An additional charge of disorderly conduct while armed was added due to additional information obtained.
- 12:28pm – East – Armed Robbery: Officers responded to a business for a shoplifter who flashed a firearm and walked out with merchandise not paid for. A 20-year-old male suspect was observed and taken into custody. A firearm was located in a trash can behind the business. The firearm was determined to be a carbon BB gun. Charges: strong armed robbery, possession with intent to deliver THC, and a probation/parole warrant.
- 1:33pm – North – Battery: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 37-year-old male suspect. The victim sustained injuries which required stitches. The suspect was arrested for substantial battery, obstructing, disorderly conduct, possession of cocaine, and a DOC warrant.
- 2:34pm – North – Disturbance: Officers responded to a disturbance at a school involving a 14-year-old male. The student struck another student in the face. The victim sustained visible injuries which required stitches. The 14-year-old was arrested for substantial battery and transported to the Juvenile Reception Center.
- 6:07pm – Midtown – Check Person: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a subject. After several attempts, the subject was located and placed into protective custody. The subject was transported to a local hospital. Subject has a Chapter 51 return. The subject was locally placed and officers disengaged.
- 6:53pm – Central – Adult Arrested Person: Officers made contact with two subjects (including a 19-year-old male suspect). The victim reported the suspect took their phone and purse. The victim reported being in a previous relationship with the suspect and not wanting contact with him anymore, but the suspect continued to come around. The suspect did not want to provide a statement to officers. The suspect was arrested for stalking, theft from person (2 counts), and intimidation of a victim.
Thursday, December 4:
- 12:08am – North – Adult Arrested Person: Officers received a request to locate and arrest a 40-year-old male suspect with an outstanding DOC warrant. The suspect was contacted and taken into custody. The suspect appeared to suffer from an overdose of some sort. EMS requested. Naloxone administered. A medical clearance was obtained and the suspect was booked into jail.
- 12:32am – West – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a residence for a domestic disturbance. A 25-year-old female suspect became upset with the victim. The suspect was screaming, grabbed a kitchen knife, punctured a can of tomato soup, and poured it all over the victim’s clothes and personal items. The suspect left the residence and was picked up by a 42-year-old male suspect. The victim was contacted. Both suspects were contacted nearby. The female suspect would not provide a statement. The male suspect attempted to intervene with the investigation. The female suspect was arrested for disorderly conduct while armed. The male suspect was arrested for obstructing.
- 2:03am – East – Trespassing: A 28-year-old male suspect was actively trying to access a vehicle in a business parking lot. The suspect was arrested for trespass for vehicle and trespassing (both municipal charges).
- 2:49am – Central – Adult Arrested Person: Officers responded to a hotel regarding an exposure complaint involving a 34-year-old male suspect. The suspect exposed himself to a staff member. The suspect refused to answer the door when officers knocked. Hotel staff keyed in to advise the suspect he was being evicted. The suspect was contacted and denied anything occurring. The suspect was arrested for lewd/lascivious behavior and disorderly conduct.
- 2:51am – Central – Disturbance: Officers responded to the Salvation Army for a disturbance involving a 28-year-old female suspect. The suspect was causing issues, bothering guests, acting out, swearing, and threatened physical harm. The suspect was arrested. The suspect actively resisted officers. The suspect was arrested for disorderly conduct (with a hate crime enhancer), resisting, and misdemeanor bail jumping. During the arrest process at the jail, meth was located. A charge was added for possession of meth.
