The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last 24 hours.
Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
Number of calls
From 6:00am on February 11 to 6:00am on February 12, we received 476 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials.
A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows:
- Central: 75
- East: 92
- Midtown: 74
- North: 79
- South: 55
- West: 88
- Other: 13
"Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.
Notable calls
Wednesday, February 11:
Priority calls only from 12:23pm to 1:06pm due to calls for service.
Priority calls only from 9:19pm to 11:54pm due to calls for service.
- 4:39am - East – Mental Health Conveyance: Officers responded to a local facility for a subject in need of a Chapter 51 return. Transport to Winnebago pending.
- 9:51am - North – Mental Health Conveyance: Officers responded to a local hospital for a subject in need of an emergency detention/placement. Placement pending.
- 11:41am - West – Disturbance: Officers responded to a residence for a disturbance with screaming heard in the background. A physical altercation was found to have occurred between siblings. A 17-year-old female subject was arrested for physical abuse of a child.
- 4:02pm - East – Missing Adult: A 22-year-old male subject was reported as missing from his group home. The subject has a history of eloping from the group home. Attempt to locate aired. The subject later returned home.
- 4:58pm - East – Disturbance: Officers responded to the mall for a 56-year-old male subject who was trespassing and refusing to leave. The subject threatened mall security staff. Officers made contact with the subject. The subject slapped an officer. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and battery.
- 6:08pm - Central – Disturbance: Officers responded to the Salvation Army for a 62-year-old female subject trespassing and refusing to leave. The subject threatened staff. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and issued a citation for trespassing. The subject was found to have an active warrant out of Milwaukee.
- 6:45pm - Central – Death Investigation: A 79-year-old female subject collapsed near State St/Dayton St. Lifesaving measures performed, but they were not successful. Nothing suspicious identified at this time.
- 8:58pm - West – Traffic Incident: Traffic stop attempted. Driver/vehicle fled at a high rate of speed. Driver/vehicle crashed. Driver fled on foot and remains at-large. A vehicle was reported stolen nearby. This vehicle was later located unoccupied. Unknown if these two incidents are connected at this time. Investigation continuing.
- 10:31pm - South – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 25-yaer-old male subject. The subject and victim were involved in a verbal argument when the subject pushed the victim and took their phone away. The subject was arrested for felony intimidation of a victim, disorderly conduct, and possession with intent to deliver cocaine.
- 10:40pm - Central – Disturbance: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 30-year-old male subject. The subject was reported to be intoxicated and causing a disturbance in the lobby of an apartment complex (where he does not live). The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct.
Thursday, February 12:
- 12:18am - South – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a residence for a disturbance with a knife involving a 22-year-old female subject. The subject was not on scene when officers arrived. Probable cause developed to arrest the subject.
