Tuesday, February 3:

  • 4:48am - Central – Sexual Assault: Officer spoke with a subject who wished to report a sexual assault that occurred approximately a year ago. Suspect identified. Caller advised they no longer wanted to talk with MPD. Investigation continuing.  
  • 7:05am - North – Aggravated Battery: Officers responded, along with EMS, to a report of a subject bleeding. Contact made with two subjects at a residence and both were unaware of what occurred. A victim was contacted and provided varying accounts of what occurred to officers. Injuries considered to be non-life threatening. Investigation continuing.
  • 9:37am - North – Missing Adult:  A 21-year-old male subject was reported as missing. Attempt to locate aired. Phone ping conducted. The subject was listed as missing in the appropriate databases. Investigation continuing.
  • 11:35am - Central – Check Person: Officers responded, along with MFD, to a large amount of water pouring out of a residence. Condition of the home was deplorable. A dog was located and taken to the humane society. The resident was transported to a local hospital with local mental health resources plugged in. Building Inspection notified. Human Services contacted reference the resident. The resident was left in the care of medical staff. Officers disengaged.   
  • 12:39pm - East – Crash: Officers responded to a vehicle vs. tree crash (Milwaukee St/Swanton St). Driver fled the area. Passenger stated they did not recall what happened. The passenger was conveyed to a local hospital with injuries (non-life threatening). Investigation continuing.  
  • 2:07pm - Central – Disturbance: Officers responded to the library for an intoxicated subject (45-year-old male) who was causing a disturbance. The subject threatened to beat up another patron. The subject yelled at another patron and entered the restroom even though there was a sign stating it was closed for cleaning. The subject was contacted by officers and arrested for disorderly conduct.
  • 2:34pm - Central – Disturbance: Officers responded to the Beacon for a 51-year-old male subject who had caused a disturbance and was asked to leave by staff. The subject left but returned and continued his disruptive behavior. The subject was contacted by officers and arrested for disorderly conduct.
  • 5:14pm - Midtown – Disturbance: Officers responded to a local hospital for an intoxicated subject (50-year-old female) who was asked to leave by staff and refused. The subject attempted to punch staff. Subject contacted and detained. Local mental health resources consulted. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and trespassing.
  • 6:02pm – Central – Disturbance: Two subjects (56-year-old male and 53-year-old male) caused a disturbance on a Metro bus. They both were screaming obscenities and threatening the driver. The subjects were arrested for disorderly conduct. The 53-year-old was also arrested on an outstanding warrant.
  • 6:39pm - Central – Disturbance: Officers responded to the 200 block of State Street for a 42-year-old male subject causing a disturbance and threatening to shoot people. The subject was arrested/cited for disorderly conduct.
  • 8:06pm - Central – Weapons Violation: Caller reported finding a bullet hole in their residence. A 31-year-old female subject was contacted whose explanation of events changed as she was talking with officers. She initially stated there was a disturbance between her and her boyfriend (who she refused to identify). A gun was involved and “accidently fired.” No injuries reported. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct, obstruction, and 2nd degree reckless endangering safety.
  • 10:58pm - North – Disturbance: Caller reported hearing a disturbance coming from a neighbor’s unit. Officers arrived on scene and a victim came out of the unit bleeding and screaming that the 32-year-old male subject had a gun. The male subject was quickly detained. The subject physically assaulted the victim. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct while armed, false imprisonment, 1st degree reckless endangering safety, attempted robbery, and burglary.
  • 11:51pm - East – Check Person: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a subject. The subject was contacted and transported to a local hospital. Local mental health resources plugged in. The subject was left in the care of medical staff. Officers disengaged.
