The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last 72 hours (Friday morning to Monday morning).

Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

Number of calls

From 6:00am on January 16 to 6:00am on January 19 we received 1,034 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials.

A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows:

"Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Notable calls

Friday, January 16:

  • 3:20pm – Central – Adult Arrested Person: Officers responded to a report of a subject (61-year-old male) attempting to gain access to vehicles. The subject was confronted by two individuals. The subject spit in their faces. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct (2 counts).
  • 3:33pm – West – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a residence for a disturbance involving a 56-year-old male subject. The subject caused a disturbance at the residence of his brother and mother. The subject broke a window and threatened to kill his brother. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.
  • 8:14pm – West – Child Abuse: Officers responded to a residence for sounds of a disturbance. Investigation leads to the discovery of a disturbance involving a 38-year-old male subject and his child. The subject became angry and grabbed his child by the neck. Local mental health resources consulted. Child Protective Services notified. The mother took custody of the child. The subject was arrested or physical abuse to a child.  

Saturday, January 17:

Priority calls only from 5pm to 6:44pm due to calls for service. 

Priority calls only from 7:29pm to 11:52pm due to calls for service. 

  • 2:12am – Central – Disturbance: Officers observed two subjects engaged in a physical altercation (N. Henry St). A 25-year-old male subject and a 28-year-old male subject were arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting.
  • 2:13am – South – Intoxicated Driver: Officers responded to a crash (Fish Hatchery Rd/Cedar St). A 33-year-old male driver crashed into the back of a snowplow. The driver was found to be impaired. The driver was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence.
  •  8:17am – North – Trespass: Officers responded to a trespassing complaint involving a 36-year-old male subject. The subject provided false identification to officers. The subject was arrested for obstruction and felon in possession of a concealed weapon (knife).  
  • 12:13pm – South – Stolen Auto: A vehicle was reported stolen. Owner reported the vehicle was locked. A gun was reported to be in the vehicle. Attempt to locate aired. The vehicle was listed as stolen in the appropriate databases.  
  • 12:44pm – North – Armed Robbery: A victim was found down on a sidewalk. It was learned that the victim had been robbed. The victim reported an unknown male subject (63-year-old) approached them from behind and stole money, a debit card, and a food share card from their pocket. Video from a nearby business confirmed the incident. The subject fled on foot. The suspect was located and arrested for robbery with use of force.   
  • 1:14pm – South – Intoxicated Driver: Officers responded to a report of a driver (25-year-old male) slumped over in a vehicle. Drugs were observed in plain view. The subject came to, got out of the vehicle, and fled on foot. The subject was apprehended. The subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (1st offense), possession of schedule II narcotics, felony bail jumping (3 counts), resisting, and a probation hold.  
  • 3:25pm – Central – Adult Arrested Person: Officers responded, along with MFD, for a report of an intoxicated subject (46-year-old female) at a public building reporting they wanted to die. Subject was not cooperative with MPD/MFD. Officers attempted to dialogue with the subject. The subject was taken into protective custody. The subject resisted officers. The subject attempted to bite an officer. The subject was arrested for attempted battery to a law enforcement officer and resisting. A second resisting charge was added when the subject started to fight deputies during the booking process. The subject kicked a deputy which added another charge for battery to law enforcement. The subject was moved to seg at the jail.  
  • 3:41pm – North – Disturbance: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 24-year-old female subject. The victim sustained visible injuries. The subject was arrested for domestic battery.  
  • 6:07pm – West – Adult Arrested Person: Officers responded to a panic alarm at a business (700 block of S. Gammon Rd). A 46-year-old male subject was in the drive-thru yelling and punching the window. The subject was located nearby at a business he was banned from. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and cited for trespassing.
  • 6:10pm – East – Death Investigation: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a subject (91-year-old male). Entry made to the residence and the subject was located deceased (self-inflicted). Nothing suspicious identified.  
  • 8:42pm – East – Adult Arrested Person: Officers responded to a business after staff believed they saw a gun sticking out of the pocket of a subject. Two subjects left the business prior to officers’ arrival. Officers make contact with two subjects (27-year-old male and 53-year-old male) nearby. The 53-year-old had outstanding warrants. The 27-year-old male subject was found to have drugs (meth which also tested positive for fentanyl) and drug paraphernalia on them.  Both subjects conveyed to jail.   
  • 10:38pm – East – Adult Arrested Person: Officers responded to a report of subject (51-year-old male) breaking into a job trailer. The subject was contacted and found to have copper wire in their vehicle. The subject was arrested for possession of burglarious tools, possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting, misdemeanor bail jumping (5 counts), and 6 outstanding warrants.                       

Sunday, January 18:

Priority calls only from 11:31pm to 1:34am due to calls for service. 

  • 1:36am – Central – Adult Arrested Person: A 23-year-old male subject (intoxicated), attempted to open the door handle to the backseat of a squad. The subject claimed they thought the vehicle was their uber. The subject was arrested for trespass to vehicle and taken to jail to post on the charge as they were from out of town.
  • 4:33am – East – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a residence for a disturbance involving a 24-year-old female subject. The disturbance started in an apartment and led out into a hallway where neighbors heard the disturbance and called 911. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.
  • 11:32am – West – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a disturbance. Caller reported that a subject came up to them stating they were physically assaulted by their child’s father. Victim located with a broken jaw. Probable cause developed to arrest the suspect (30-year-old male) who remains at-large.
  • 6:15pm – North – Disturbance/Unwanted Subject: Officers responded to a convenience store for an unwanted subject (40-year-old male). The subject entered the store and attempted to steal alcohol. Staff prevented the subject from stealing. The subject screamed at staff and refused to leave the premises. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting. The subject was cited for trespassing.
  • 6:37pm – West – Disturbance: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 16-year-old male subject and his mom. The subject asked his mom for money and when she refused he punched holes in the wall. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property.
  • 8:14pm – Central – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 58-year-old female subject and her son. The subject came home to discover her son had disposed of her drugs and paraphernalia. The subject became angry and caused a disturbance. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.
  • 9:25pm – North – Adult Arrested Person: A wanted subject (25-year-old male) was observed, taken into custody, and booked into jail.
  • 10:41pm – East – Intoxicated Driver: Officers responded to a crash (Driscoll Drive). Officers located a severely damaged detached utility garage but no vehicle. A 28-year-old female subject was observed walking in the area. Dispatch receives a call from a 50-year-old male subject who reported being in a crash and a disturbance with the female subject. The male subject reported driving when the female subject grabbed the wheel causing the vehicle to crash. The male subject stated the female subject was armed with a knife. The female subject got out of the vehicle and the male subject fled in the vehicle stating he was disturbed by the actions of the female. The female subject was arrested for 2nd degree reckless endangering safety, disorderly conduct while armed, and operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (2nd offense). The male subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (1st offense).

Monday, January 19:

  • 1:42am – North – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 50-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.
