Friday, January 2:

Priority calls only from 1:05pm to 3:08pm due to calls for service.

  • 12:32pm – Midtown – Crash: Officers responded to a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash (Mineral Point Rd/Grand Canyon Dr). Pedestrian conveyed to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The pedestrian was cited for sudden pedestrian movement into traffic.
  • 5:36pm – South – Intoxicated Driver: Officers responded to a vehicle vs. pole crash (Fish Hatchery Rd/Carver). A 41-year-old male driver/subject was traveling northbound on Fish Hatchery Rd when they lost control and struck an electrical pole. The subject was found to be impaired and arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence causing injury (passenger in the vehicle was injured). The subject was also cited for operating after revocation, deviating from lane of traffic, and failure to control vehicle.
  • 7:55pm – East – Check Person: Officers responded to a residence after a child called stating their mom (33-year-old female) was intoxicated and acting strange. Contact made with the subject. The subject was placed into protective custody with a plan to convey her to a local hospital. The subject began to resist officers. The subject was arrested for resisting and booked into jail.
  • 8:45pm – North – Assist MFD: Officers responded, along with MFD, to a structure fire (Wyoming Way). A fire in a garage/wood shop was located. MPD assisted with traffic control.
  • 8:50pm – Central – Intoxicated Driver: Off-duty MPD personnel observed a vehicle idling with a driver slumped over (open intoxicants observed in plain view). The driver (40-year-old male) was woken up. The driver was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence and threats to law enforcement.
  • 9:16pm – Midtown – Adult Arrested Person: Officers responded to a local hospital for a disturbance involving a 37-year-old male subject who refused to leave the premises. The subject was arrested for trespassing and a probation hold.

Saturday, January 3:

  • 2:26am – Central – Adult Arrested Person: Two subjects notified an MPD officer that a 41-year-old male subject was following them and making lewd/sexual comments to them. The subject was contacted and arrested for disorderly conduct (2 counts).
  • 10:17am – East – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to an apartment complex for sounds of a disturbance. Contact made at a unit (where screaming was heard coming from) with a 38-year-old male subject who opened the door briefly, stated they were alone, and shut the door. Dialogue attempted. The subject refused to re-open the door. Officers knocked again and the door opened. The subject attempted to shut it again but officers were able to keep the door open and detain the subject. The subject was not cooperative and was resistive. A second subject was located inside. An argument between the two subjects was confirmed to have taken place. Probable cause was developed to arrest the male subject for domestic disorderly conduct, resisting, and obstructing.
  • 1:13pm – West – Intoxicated Driver: Officers responded to a vehicle vs. tree crash (Welton Drive). The driver (32-year-old male) lied about his identity several times. The subject was found to be impaired. The subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (2nd offense), obstruction, and a DOC warrant.
  • 3:27pm – North – Traffic Arrest: A traffic stop was conducted. The driver (36-year-old male subject) was found in possession of THC and to have an outstanding warrant. The subject was arrested and transported to jail.
  • 3:57pm – North – Intoxicated Driver: Officers responded to a report of a driver (51-year-old male subject) slumped over in a vehicle stopped in traffic (N. Stoughton Rd/Kinsman Blvd). Contact made with the subject who was found to be impaired. The subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (6th offense), operating after revocation, and possession of cocaine.
  • 4:08pm – East – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 50-year-old male subject armed with a knife. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct while armed, intimidation of a victim, and failure to comply. Numerous resources were involved in this call – SWAT, K9, less lethal tools, etc.
  • 8:48pm – East – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 30-year-old male subject. Two victims were involved. The subject was arrested for domestic battery (2 counts) and domestic criminal damage to property.
  • 9:30pm – East – Disturbance: Officers responded to the men’s shelter for a disturbance involving a 35-year-old male subject. The subject refused to leave the premises when staff asked him to. The subject was arrested for trespassing, disorderly conduct, resisting, and misdemeanor bail jumping.
  • 11:03pm – East – Check Person: Officers responded to a business for a subject passed out in the restroom. There were suspected drugs, drug paraphernalia, and a handgun laying near the subject. The subject was contacted and detained. The gun was determined to not be real. The subject gave officers false identification (claiming to be a younger sibling). The subject was initially conveyed to the Juvenile Reception Center until it was determined he was 18. The subject was transported to the jail for charges of possession of heroin, obstructing, an outstanding warrant, and a probation/parole hold. The subject was also cited for possession of a facsimile firearm.

Sunday, January 4:

Priority calls only from 10:06am to 12:37pm due to calls for service.

  • 2:55am – Central – Armed Robbery: Officers responded to a fight at a convenience store involving a 44-year-old male subject. The victim reported they were waiting for the bus when the suspect approached them. The suspect took cash from the victim’s hand and made threatening comments. A physical altercation took place between the two subjects. The subject was arrested for battery, disorderly conduct, armed robbery, and a probation hold.
  • 4:17am – North – Sexual Assault of a Child: Officers responded to a local hospital for a sexual assault of a child report. Investigation continuing.
  • 7:25am – North – Death Investigation: Officers responded to a report of a pulseless non-breathing subject who had overdosed (61-year-old male). Lifesaving measures were attempted, but not successful. Evidence of drug use observed. Two subjects in the residence are on probation/parole (Act 79 search conducted which yielded crystal meth amphetamine and drug paraphernalia. A 40-year-old male subject and a 40-year-old female subject were arrested on parole holds. Additional follow-up being conducted.
  • 9:28am – South – Check Person: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a subject.  MFD also responded. The subject had fallen and did not want to go to the hospital.  There were concerns for the welfare/care of the subject. The subject was transported to a local hospital. Local mental health resources were consulted. A plan was developed and officers were able to disengage.
  • 10:45am – Midtown – Adult Arrested Person: CARES/Officers in contact with a 52-year-old female subject who calls 911 repeatedly with no emergency. The subject was arrested for misuse of 911 and resisting.
  • 3:17pm – Central – Adult Arrested Person: Officers responded to a disturbance at a bus stop on E. Washington Avenue involving a 51-year-old male subject with a knife. The victim sustained minor injuries. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct, battery while armed, and 2nd degree reckless endangering safety.
  • 7:37pm – East – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 24-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct while armed and domestic criminal damage to property.
  • 8:24pm – Central – Road Rage: Numerous callers report a road rage incident involving a driver who was all over the road, cutting other drivers off, chasing drivers, and “attacking” a person outside of the vehicle. Officers checked areas – driver not located. Probable cause developed for multiple charges for the driver, who remains at-large.
  • 9:33pm – North – Death Investigation: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a subject (71-year-old male). Entry made to the residence and the subject was located deceased. Medical Examiner’s office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.
  • 11:43pm – East – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to sounds of a disturbance at a residence involving a 40-year-old male subject. Officers arrived and hear an obvious physical disturbance taking place with yelling. The male subject was ordered out of the home. A victim was located with injuries. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct, battery, and felony intimidation of a victim. Subject is considered a suspect in the road rage incident described above as well – additional follow-up necessary.

Monday, January 5:

  • 1:55am – Central – Strong Armed Robbery: A 49-year-old male subject forcefully took an item out of the victim’s hands. Subjects are acquaintances. The victim reported that the subject was bothering them all day. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct, strong armed robbery, misdemeanor bail jumping, obstructing, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
