Number of calls
From 6:00am on January 5 to 6:00am on January 6, we received 406 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials.
A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows:

- East: 100
- Midtown: 68
- North: 70
- South: 38
- West: 59
- Other: 16
"Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Monday, January 5:
Priority calls only from 1:22pm to 3:03pm due to calls for service.

- 4:01am - North – Weapons Offense: Officers responded to the airport for a report of a 32-year-old female subject with a knife. The subject was contacted/detained. There were 8 kitchen knives in the subject’s purse. The subject was transported to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation. Transport to Winnebago pending. Criminal charges forthcoming.
- 9:21am - Midtown – Traffic Arrest: Officer conducted a traffic stop involving a 35-year-old female driver/subject. The subject lied about their identity. Subject was positively identified and found to have a suspended driver’s license and a probation/parole hole. The subject was arrested for the warrant. She was cited for speeding and operating with a suspended driver’s license.
- 9:40am - East – Damage to Property: Officers responded to a report of a 22-year-old male subject damaging items with a pipe. It was determined that the subject broke into various businesses. The subject was located and taken into protective custody for a mental health evaluation. Placement pending. Criminal charges forthcoming. *Subject transported to Winnebago.
- 1:07pm - East – Death Investigation: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a 51-year-old male subject. Entry made to the home and the subject was located deceased. Medical Examiner’s office responded. Subject’s death was self-inflicted. Nothing suspicious identified.
- 3:04pm - East – Battery: Officers responded to a disturbance where pepper spray was said to have been sprayed at two victims. EMS responded as well. Suspect not on scene. Investigation continuing.
- 4:37pm - East – Adult Arrested Person: Officers responded to a business for a disturbance/unwanted person complaint involving a 45-year-old male subject. The subject entered the business and attempted to access the employee only area. Staff asked the subject to leave. The subject refused to leave and responded by yelling, swinging his arms, and other aggressive behavior. Staff pushed the subject out of their store. The subject was contacted by officers. The subject resisted officers. The subject was arrested for resisting, misdemeanor bail jumping, felony bail jumping and cited for trespass after notification.
- 6:47pm - West – Armed Robbery: Officers responded to a business for an armed robbery. A suspect entered the business and demanded money. The suspect fled with cash. Areas canvassed. Suspect not located. Investigation continuing.
- 7:40pm - North – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 35-year-old male subject. The subject struck the victim with a belt and strangled them. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct, battery, and strangulation.
- 9:25pm - East – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a report of an intoxicated subject (44-year-old female) screaming and hitting members of her family. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and disorderly conduct.
- 11:26pm - West – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 36-year-old male subject. The subject struck the victim in the face. The victim attempted to call 911 but the subject took the phone away. The subject was arrested for domestic battery and intimidation of a victim.
Tuesday, January 6:
- 3am - East – Battery: Officers responded to the men’s shelter for a battery complaint involving a 43-year-old male subject. The victim was kicked multiple times in the head by the subject and placed in a choke hold. The subject was arrested for battery, strangulation, and disorderly conduct.
