The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last 24 hours.

Number of calls
From 6:00am on July 1 to 6:00am on July 2, we received 506 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials.
A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows:
- Central: 100
- East: 111
- Midtown: 73
- North: 71
- South: 76
- West: 66
- Other: 9
"Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the city. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.
Notable calls
Wednesday, July 1:
Priority calls only from 9:50am to 10:25am and from 12:18pm to 6:05pm due to calls for service.
- 7:06am - West – Death Investigation: Officers responded to a residence where a 73-year-old man was found deceased. Nothing suspicious on scene.
- 8:53am - North – OMVWI: Officers responded to N Sherman Ave at Aberg Ave where the 43-year-old male suspect ran a red light and struck another vehicle. The suspect fled the scene but was later apprehended. The suspect was arrested and charged with OWI 1st, operating motor vehicle w/o valid DL, hit and run, improper registration, and red signal violation.
- 3:35pm - Central – Disturbance: Officers responded to the 600 block of State St where the 30-year-old male suspect had caused disturbances at several businesses. The suspect was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, battery to LE officer, possession of THC and bail jumping.
- 4:11pm - North – Disturbance: The victim reported that an unidentified female suspect attempted to steal his money. The female suspect then threw rocks at the victim's truck, damaging the windows. The victim exited his truck and a 36-year-old male suspect began punching him. The female suspect then stole the victim's phone. The victim reported that the male suspect armed himself with a knife before the victim fled in his truck and crashed into a building. Officers developed probable cause to arrest the male suspect for disorderly conduct and battery. Suspects are at large.
- 5:22pm - East – Check Person: Officers responded to Dean Clinic where a man had hidden in a closet. Officers consulted with Journey Mental Health who supported an emergency detention. Officers placed the man into protective custody and transported him to a hospital.
- 7:36pm - Midtown – Conveyance: Officers assisted Journey Mental Health with an emergency detention.
- 9:42pm - Central – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a residence where the 31-year-old male suspect threatened the victim. The suspect was arrested and charged with domestic disorderly conduct, resisting, and bail jumping.
Thursday, July 2:
- 12:46am - East – Disturbance Unwanted Person: Officers responded to the men's shelter where the 32-year-old female suspect was causing problems and threatening staff. The suspect became combative with police officers upon being detained. The suspect was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, battery to LEO, resisting, and trespass.
- 1:51am - Central – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a residence where the 32-year-old male suspect battered the victim. The suspect was arrested and charged with domestic disorderly conduct, battery, intimidation of a victim, bail jumping and resisting arrest.
- 2:02am - East – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a residence where the 77-year-old male suspect struck the victim, pulled her hair and threw her to the ground, and strangled her. The suspect was arrested and charged with domestic disorderly conduct while armed, disorderly conduct and strangulation.
