Number of calls
From 6:00am on June 17 to 6:00am on June 18, we received 496 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials.
A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows:
- Central: 101
- East: 86
- Midtown: 83
- North: 77
- South: 54
- West: 79
- Other: 16
"Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.
Notable calls
Wednesday, June 17:
Priority calls only from 1:16pm to 4:13pm due to calls for service.
- 4:57am – East – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 45-year-old male subject. The subject was not on scene when officers arrived. Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large.
- 7:32am – Midtown – Non-Residential Burglary: Owner of a business arrived to work and noticed a broken door and stated they thought someone was inside. Dispatch overheard a commotion and the caller was no longer speaking to them. Officers arrived on scene and the owner advised the suspect was inside but fled on a bicycle. Nothing reported missing from the business. Investigation continuing.
- 8:28am – North – Death Investigation: Officers responded to a residence for a deceased subject (82-year-old male). Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.
- 2:21pm – Central – Suspicious Person: Officers responded to a report of a suspicious subject (62-year-old male) rummaging through vehicles in a parking ramp. Contact made with the subject. The subject was arrested for attempted theft and possession of drug paraphernalia.
- 8:49pm – North – Battery: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 28-year-old male subject. The victim and subject engaged in a verbal argument. The subject punched the victim in the face and stole the victim's cell phone. As officers are talking with the victim they observe the subject. Officers attempted contact with the subject and he fled on foot. The subject was apprehended. The subject resisted officers. The subject was arrested for battery, disorderly conduct, theft of phone, and resisting.
Thursday, June 18:
- 12:29am – Central – Disturbance: Officers responded to a disturbance with “guns" involved. Officers arrived in the area and observed numerous subject actively fighting. No guns were found to be involved. 8 subjects were arrested for disorderly conduct – 4 went to jail due to open court cases, 4 were cited/released.
