The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last 24 hours.
Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
Number of calls
From 6:00am on June 23 to 6:00am on June 24, we received 496 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials.
A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows:
- Central: 80
- East: 105
- Midtown: 86
- North: 71
- South: 77
- West: 67
- Other: 10
"Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.
Notable calls
Tuesday, June 23:
Priority calls only from 11:20am to 12:42pm due to calls for service.
- 10am – West – Death Investigation: Officers responded to a report of a pulseless non-breathing toddler. The child was transported to a local hospital and pronounced deceased. Investigation continuing.
- 10:14am – Midtown – Mental Health Conveyance: Officers responded to a local hospital for a subject in need of an emergency detention. The emergency detention was sought/approved. Transport to Winnebago completed.
- 5:43pm – East – Adult Arrested Person: Officers came into contact with a 56-year-old male subject at Olbrich Park. The subject had outstanding warrants. The subject was detained. A search incident to arrest located meth on the subject. The subject was arrested on the warrants and possession of meth.
- 9:45pm – East – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a residence for a disturbance involving a 23-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and battery.
- 10:57pm – Central – Disturbance: A 31-year-old male subject was observed engaged in a physical altercation on State Street. The subject was not cooperative with officers. The subject was arrested for physical abuse to a child (victim was a minor), disorderly conduct, and resisting. A 16-year-old subject was issued a referral for disorderly conduct. A 17-year-old male subject was arrested for disorderly conduct.
Wednesday, June 24:
- 1:28am – Central – Disturbance: Officers responded to a disturbance on State Street between two subjects (one of which was no longer on scene when officers arrived). A 22-year-old male subject was arrested for disorderly conduct, felony bail jumping, and misdemeanor bail jumping (6 counts). The other involved subject (21-year-old male) was spotted nearby and detained. He was arrested for disorderly conduct. During this incident a separate foot pursuit was called out involving a 61-year-old male subject. This subject was not involved in the original disturbance but fled from officers for no reason. The subject was cited/released for resisting.
