The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last 24 hours.

Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

Number of calls

From 6:00am on March 12 to 6:00am on March 13, we received 532 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials.

A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows:

  • Central: 84
  • East: 103
  • Midtown: 108
  • North: 85
  • South: 63
  • West: 81
  • Other: 8

"Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the city. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Thursday, March 12:

  • 5:40am - East – Sexual Assault:  A victim reported that a known suspect sexually assaulted her. The victim and suspect provided conflicting statements. Officers were unable to substantiate any charges.
  • 6:39am - Central – Damage to Property: Officers responded to a building where a door at the front entrance was damaged. Investigation continuing.
  • 8:17am - Central – Damage to Property: A victim reported that the 58-year-old male suspect pulled up next to her vehicle and struck it with a wooden club. The suspect then traveled to the east district where he damaged property outside a church. The suspect was arrested and charged with damage to property and disorderly conduct.
  • 9:13am - Central – Death Investigation: Officers responded to a residence where an 86-year-old man had died. Nothing suspicious on scene.
  • 9:31am - Central – Information:  A victim reported that a known suspect made unwanted sexual contact with her. Investigation continuing.
  • 4:00pm - West – Adult Arrested Person: Officers responded to an apartment building where the 45-year-old female suspect was prohibited from being on the premises and had threatened property management staff. The suspect was arrested and charged with unlawful use of electronic device, trespass, disorderly conduct, and resisting.
  • 4:42pm - South – Sexual Assault: A victim reported that a known suspect sexually assaulted her. Investigation continuing.
  • 10:03pm - Midtown – Threats Complaint: Officers responded to a hospital where a patient was talking about getting a gun and wanting to harm people. Officers consulted with Journey Mental Health. Officers were unable to substantiate any charges and determined the patient did not pose a threat to himself or others.
  • 10:17pm - East – Runaway Juvenile: A mother reported that her 15-year-old daughter ran away. The juvenile was listed as missing and an ATL was aired.

Friday, March 13:

  • 4:35am - Midtown – Disturbance: Officers responded to Kwik Trip where the 52-year-old male suspect was yelling at employees and refusing to leave. The suspect was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, theft, and resisting.
