The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last 24 hours.
Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
Number of calls
From 6:00am on March 18 to 6:00am on March 19, we received 404 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials.
A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows:

- West: 60
- Other: 7
"Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.
Notable calls
Wednesday, March 18:
- 6:15am – East – Death Investigation: Officers responded to a report of a pulseless non-breathing subject (78-year-old female). Lifesaving measures were performed. The subject was pronounced deceased. The subject had a history of health/medical concerns. Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.
- 7:47am – West – Death Investigation: Officers responded to a residence for a report of a deceased subject (77-year-old female). Decedent had a history of health/medical concerns. Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.
- 12:32pm – Central – Adult Arrested Person: A 38-year-old male subject was obstructing the sidewalk. He was asked to move and he refused. The subject was uncooperative with officers and resisted them when they went to detain/arrest him. The subject was arrested for obstructing the sidewalk, resisting, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
- 1:12pm – South – Adult Arrested Person: A 64-year-old male subject parked in a vehicle that was in a handicap parking spot with no tags. The subject confronted the driver. A verbal argument took place. The subject threatened to shoot the driver and presented a handgun. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct while armed.
- 2:15pm – Central – Check Areas: Officers responded to a business for a report of two suspicious subjects (53-year-old female and 49-year-old male). The subjects were in the store the day prior and stole a customer's phone. On today's day the subjects took groceries and a shopping cart. The subjects were located and contacted. Both subjects arrested for theft. The cell phone was recovered and returned to its owner.
- 3:39pm – East – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a residence for a disturbance involving a 43-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.
- 4:39pm – East – Disturbance: Officers responded to a school for a student/subject (16-year-old male) who was physically assaulting staff. The subject was arrested for battery and transported to the Juvenile Reception Center.
- 5:27pm – Midtown – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a residence for a disturbance involving a 36-year-old male subject. The subject was not on scene when officers arrived. Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large.
Thursday, March 19:
- 1:09am – East – Check Person: Officers received a request to check on a subject who was in a vehicle that was parked half in a parking spot and half on the sidewalk. The driver (76-year-old male) was contacted and found to be intoxicated. The subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.
- 4:05am – North – Mental Health Conveyance: Officers were requested to assist with a Chapter 51 return. The subject was contacted and transported to a local hospital for a medical clearance before being conveyed to Winnebago.
