Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
Number of calls
From 6:00am on March 30 to 6:00am on March 31, we received 484 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials.
A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows:

- East: 95
- Midtown: 94
- North: 94
- South: 58
- West: 69
- Other: 15
"Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the city. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.
Notable calls
Monday, March 30:
Priority calls only from 6:47pm to 9:22pm due to calls for service.
- 8:58am - East – Domestic Disturbance: The victim reported that she was in her vehicle with the doors locked when the 37-year-old male suspect attempted to get into the car and threatened her with a gun. The suspect was arrested for disorderly conduct while armed.
- 10:07am - West – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a residence where the 18-year-old male suspect punched and threatened the victim and placed her in a choke hold. Officers developed probable cause to arrest the suspect for domestic battery, disorderly conduct and strangulation. Suspect is at large.
- 1:06pm - Midtown – Bomb Threat: Officers responded with MFD personnel to Henry Vilas Zoo where a bomb was reportedly placed in a bathroom. Nothing suspicious was found in the area. Officers determined this was a swatting incident.
- 1:55pm - West – Missing Juvenile: A father reported that his 15-year-old daughter had run away. An 18-year-old male suspect whom officers contacted during the investigation lied to officers and was arrested for obstructing. Officers located the runaway juvenile near the suspect's house. Investigation continuing.
- 2:12pm - East – Death Investigation: Officers responded to a residence where a 38-year-old man was found deceased. Nothing suspicious on scene.
- 5:23pm - South – PNB Response: Officers responded to a residence where a juvenile had a seizure and then stopped breathing. MFD paramedics transported the 10-year-old boy to a hospital where he was reported to be in stable condition. Nothing suspicious on scene.
- 5:40pm - East – Death Investigation: Officers responded to a residence where a 96-year-old man was found deceased. Nothing suspicious on scene.
- 7:43pm - East – Traffic Arrest: Officers observed a 63-year-old male suspect who had warrants for his arrest get into a vehicle. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle after it violated multiple traffic laws. The suspect was arrested and charged with 2nd degree reckless endangering safety, operator flee/elude an officer, and resisting. The suspect was also cited with numerous traffic violations.
- 10:35pm - East – Adult Arrested Person: DOC requested that officers arrest a 23-year-old female suspect who had violated her bail conditions. The suspect was taken into custody and conveyed to the jail without issue.
Tuesday, March 31:
Priority calls only from 12:35am to 3:18am due to calls for service.
- 12:32am - Midtown – Traffic Crash: Officers responded to the 400 block of S Midvale Blvd where a vehicle crashed into a tree. The 19-year-old male driver succumbed to his injuries. The three passengers were transported to the hospital. Witnesses reported the vehicle was traveling an estimated 60 mph just before the crash.
- 3:00am - Central – Adult Arrested Person: Officers made contact with a 47-year-old female subject and determined there was outstanding probable cause for her arrest related to a previous incident. The suspect was taken into custody and conveyed to jail without incident.
