Number of calls
From 6:00am on March 5 to 6:00am on March 6, we received 497 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials.
A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows:
- Central: 85
- East: 96
- Midtown: 98
- North: 80
- South: 64
- West: 58
- Other: 16
"Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the city. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.
Notable calls
Thursday, March 5:
- 12:24pm - East – Disturbance: Officers responded to LaFollette High School where the principal requested police presence after a physical altercation occurred.
- 3:42pm - Central – Trespass: Officers responded to the 300 block of E Washington Ave where the 32-year-old female suspect was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and trespass.
- 4:03pm - East – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to S Stoughton Rd and E Broadway where the 42-year-old male suspect refused to get out of a vehicle where he was arguing with the victim. The suspect was arrested and charged with domestic disorderly conduct and resisting.
- 5:41pm - North – Adult Arrested Person: Officers responded to Taco Bell where the 29-year-old male suspect was sleeping at a table after employees had asked him to leave. The suspect was arrested on warrants and newly charged with possession of fentanyl and cocaine, and resisting/obstructing.
- 11:24pm - Central – Arson: Officers responded to the 600 block of E Washington Ave where the 26-year-old female suspect set fire to a pile of pallets and garbage next to the Salvation Army. MFD responded and extinguished the fire. The suspect was arrested and charged with arson and disorderly conduct.
Friday, March 6:
- 2:02am - South – Arson: Officers responded to an apartment building where a 31-year-old male suspect ignited two fire starter cubes. The suspect was arrested and charged with attempted arson and trespass.
