The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last 24 hours.

Number of calls
From 6:00am on May 19 to 6:00am on May 20, we received 460 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials.
A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows:
- Central: 76
- East: 100
- Midtown: 78
- North: 81
- South: 50
- West: 60
- Other: 15
"Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Tuesday, May 19:
Priority calls only from 8:45pm to 11:11pm due to calls for service.
- 3:49am – Midtown – Disturbance: Officers responded to a residential/business building after the caller heard glass shattering. A 26-year-old male subject was contacted and detained. The subject resisted officers and spit on an officer. The subject was arrested for discharging bodily fluids at a public safety worker, criminal damage to property, disorderly conduct, and resisting.
- 12:55pm – North – Child Abuse: Officers responded to a disturbance that had taken place the day before involving an 18-year-old female subject. The subject grabbed the victim (juvenile) from behind and threw them down the stairs. The subject struck the victim in the face and head numerous times. The subject was arrested for physical abuse to a child and disorderly conduct.
- 3:35pm – North – Disturbance: The victim asked the 22-year-old male subject to leave their residence and they refused. The subject became upset and physically attacked the victim. The victim sustained visible injuries. The subject fled the residence before officers arrived. Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large.
- 3:44pm – Central – Aggravated/Substantial Battery: Officers responded to a report of an injured person (victim). The victim reported being physically assaulted by a 52-year-old male subject. The victim sustained visible injuries that required medical attention. The subject was located and arrested for substantial battery and felony bail jumping.
- 6:10pm – Midtown – Check Person: Officers responded to the Beltline for a report of a subject walking. The subject was contacted and detained. The subject was placed into protective custody and transported to a local hospital for an evaluation. Emergency detention sought/supported. The subject was placed at a local facility and officers disengaged.
- 7:35pm – South – Check Person: Officers responded to a report of a subject that had been walking on the Beltline and picked up by a passerby who then dropped the subject off at a MFD station. The subject appeared confused and disoriented. Family contacted. Officers working with another law enforcement agency to facilitate the subject getting home.
- 8:17pm – Central – Strong Armed Robbery: Officers responded to a report of a 15-year-old male subject in a business that they had previously stolen from. The business wanted the subject to leave their premises. The subject was located nearby at another business. The subject was detained. The subject resisted officers. Investigation showed that the subject had stolen merchandise, made threats to staff, and shoved a staff member. The subject was arrested and transported to the Juvenile Reception Center on charges of strong armed robbery, resisting causing soft tissue injury, and trespassing.
- 9:09pm – East – Disturbance: Officers responded to a disturbance taking place between neighbors that was witnessed by another subject. A 21-year-old male subject pointed a handgun at the witness (victim). The subject was not on scene when officers arrived. Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large.
- 9:15pm – West – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a residence for a disturbance involving a 62-year-old male subject. The subject was intoxicated and became upset with the victim over food being made. The subject struck the victim in the face several times. The victim sustained visible injuries. The subject was arrested for domestic battery.
- 11:48pm – Central – Disturbance: Officers responded to the Taco Bell on State Street for an active disturbance between 2 subjects (51-year-old male and 57-year-old male). Both subjects were intoxicated and involved in the fighting. They were both arrested/taken to jail to post on a disorderly conduct citation. The 57-year-old subject threatened an officer while being processed at the jail. He was booked into jail for disorderly conduct, threats to law enforcement, and a probation hold.
Wednesday, May 20:
- 2:46am – Central – Adult Arrested Person: Officers became in contact with a 42-year-old male subject that had an outstanding warrant from 2005. The subject was arrested and transported to jail.
