The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last 24 hours.

Number of calls
From 6:00am on May 26 to 6:00am on May 27, we received 520 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials.
A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows:
- Central: 95
- East: 103
- Midtown: 96
- North: 88
- South: 58
- West: 65
- Other: 15
"Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.
Notable calls
Tuesday, May 26:
Priority calls only from 3:20pm to 7:20pm due to calls for service.
- 7:48am – South – Stolen Auto: A vehicle was reported stolen overnight from a residence. The vehicle was left unlocked and had the keys in it. Attempt to locate aired. The vehicle was listed as stolen in the appropriate databases.
- 9:17am – Midtown – Death Investigation: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a subject (79-year-old male). Entry made to the residence to check on the subject. The subject was located deceased. Decedent had a history of health/medical concerns. Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.
- 12:29pm – North – Check Area: Officers responded to the 1300 block of Troy Drive for reports of shots fired. Areas checked. No evidence of shots fired located.
- 2:47pm – East – Assist MFD: Officers responded, along with MFD, to a large fire at Madison Kipp Corp on S. Fair Oaks Ave. MPD assisted with traffic control.
- 4:39pm – North – Check Person: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a possible suicidal subject. Phone ping conducted. Attempts were made to reach the subject, without success.
- 6:10pm – Central – Adult Arrested Person: Officers responded to the Luke House for a disturbance caused by a 62-year-old male subject. The subject slammed the door on another subject intentionally. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct.
- 9:47pm – Central – Trespass: An employee of an establishment on State Street reported a chronic trespasser (19-year-old male) to be on premises. The subject was contacted by officers. The subject was not cooperative with officers. The subject was arrested for trespassing and resisting.
- 11:11pm – Central – Adult Arrested Person: An officer observed a 56-year-old male subject squaring off against another subject on N. Pinckney St. A witness reported that the subject threatened the victim with physical violence. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and bail jumping (4 counts).
Wednesday, May 27:
- 12:03am – North – Adult Arrested Person: DOC requested MPD locate/arrest a client (49-year-old male) of theirs. Subject was located and arrested on a DOC warrant.
- 3:01am – Central – Battery: Officers responded to State St/N. Carroll St for two subjects arguing. A 38-year-old female subject swung a cane at the victim, striking them. The subject tackled the victim to the ground and laid on them. The subject was arrested for battery and disorderly conduct.
