Number of calls
From 6:00am on May 26 to 6:00am on May 27, we received 581 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials.
A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows:

- Other: 14
"Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.
Notable calls
Wednesday, May 27:
- 9:56am – East – Theft from Auto: Officers responded to a residential complex for a report of several vehicles being broken into. Investigation continuing.
- 10:42am – Midtown – Domestic Disturbance: Caller reported that a 39-year-old male subject was hitting them. Dispatch overheard a male subject yelling that he was going to kill the caller/victim. Officers arrived in the area. The subject was no longer on scene. The subject was located/detained. The subject was arrested for domestic intimidation of a victim, domestic strangulation, domestic battery, and domestic disorderly conduct.
- 10:57am – Central – Adult Arrested Person: Officers responded to the 200 block of State Street for a 42-year-old male subject with a machete. It was reported that a fight had broken out that involved the subject. The subject was contacted/detained. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct while armed and carrying a concealed weapon.
- 4:01pm – Central – Disturbance: Officers responded to the 200 block of State St for a fight between two subjects (38-year-old male suspect). The subject was high on meth and yelling in people's faces. The subject attacked a victim, hitting them numerous times and knocking them to the ground. The subject was arrested for battery, disorderly conduct, and possession of meth.
- 4:58pm – Central – Disturbance: Officers responded to Peace Park for a 45-year-old male subject who attempted to grab/touch 2 female teenagers (unsuccessfully). The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting.
- 5:31pm – East – Death Investigation: Officers responded to a residence for a report of a deceased subject (75-year-old female). Decedent was in hospice care and had a DNR in place. Nothing suspicious identified.
- 5:59pm – Central – Adult Arrested Person: Officers responded to the 600 block of E. Main St for a subject (51-year-old female) down. EMS also responded. The subject was found to be heavily intoxicated. The subject swung at paramedics as they were trying to assist her. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct.
- 6:17pm – Midtown – Check Person: Officers responded to the area of Whitney Way and USH 12/18 eastbound for a subject walking up the ramp onto the Beltline. The subject was identified and has a history of being resistive with officers. Distance was created, traffic was diverted, and ultimately officers were able to contact/detain the subject safely. The subject was not cooperative and started spitting at officers. The subject received an evaluation with a mental health provider. An emergency detention was sought and approved. The subject was transported to a local hospital. Placement pending. *Placement secured and the subject was transported.
- 8:15pm – Central – Intoxicated Driver: Officers responded to a report of a 39-year-old male subject/driver intoxicated. The subject was located and contacted. The subject refused to participate in field sobriety tests. The subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (3rd offense).
- 9:32pm – Central – Battery: Officers responded to a disturbance at Festival Foods involving a 24-year-old male subject. The subject left the premises and then returned. The subject swung at a security guard. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct, resisting, battery, and attempted battery to law enforcement.
Thursday, May 28:
- 2:11am – Central – Intoxicated Driver: Dispatch received a disconnect call. They called the number back and a 31-year-old male subject answered stating they were okay. Another caller reported being involved in a crash and they believed the other driver (male subject) was intoxicated. Subject performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (1st offense).
