The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last 24 hours.

From 6:00am on November 10 to 6:00am on November 11, we received 370 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials.

Notable calls
Monday, November 10:
- 8:56am - Central – Domestic Disturbance: A subject/victim went into a police district to report a domestic incident involving a 19-year-old male subject. The subject borrowed a vape pen from the victim and refuses to give it back. A physical altercation took place as the victim attempted to get the vape pen. The subject pushed the victim. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.
- 10:27am - East – Death Investigation: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a subject (40-year-old male) who had not been seen for awhile and who had mail at their door not picked up. Subject located deceased. Medical Examiner’s office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.
- 10:47am - Central – Adult Arrested Person: An 18-year-old male subject went into a business (N. Broom St) where he grabbed products from the shelves and poured bleach on them. Two victims attempted to stop the subject. The subject punched the victims. The subject was arrested for battery, disorderly conduct, and criminal damage to property.
- 11:05am - East – Death Investigation: Officers received a request to check on the welfare of a 67-year-old male subject who did not make it into work. Entry made to the residence and the subject was located deceased. Medical Examiner’s office responded. Decedent had a history of health/medical concerns. Nothing suspicious identified.
- 3pm - South – Strong Armed Robbery: Officers met with 3 victims who reported they were robbed by 5 subjects (all juveniles). Cash was stolen. Investigation continuing.
- 4:10pm - South – Runaway Juvenile: A 12-year-old male subject was reported as a runaway. Juvenile has a history of running away. Attempt to locate aired. Areas checked. The juvenile was listed as missing/runaway in the appropriate databases.
- 7:21pm - East – Runaway Juvenile: A 14-year-old female subject was reported as a runaway. Attempt to locate aired. No safety concerns identified. The juvenile was listed as missing/runaway in the appropriate databases.
- 10:54pm - East – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 23-year-old male subject. The victim reported being punched and dragged by the subject (their son). The subject was not on scene when officers arrived. The victim sustained visible injuries. The subject returned to the residence just after officers left the area. The subject took his mother’s vehicle and reported being suicidal to his mom. Phone ping conducted. The subject was located in his mother’s vehicle. The subject was initially uncooperative and arrested for domestic abuse to an elder and domestic disorderly conduct (2 counts).
- 11:43pm - Central – Check Person: Officers responded to E. Dayton St for a report of a subject screaming. Officers identify where the screaming is coming from and attempt to make contact. The subject refused to open the door. The screaming continues and officers make the decision to force entry to check the welfare of the subject. The subject was located alone without clothing. There was peanut butter located smeared all over the subject and the residence. The subject agreed to voluntarily go to a local hospital. The subject was left in the care of medical staff and officers disengaged.
Tuesday, November 11:
- 12:50am - East – Assist EMS: Officers responded, along with EMS/Fire, to a report of a 77-year-old male subject not breathing. Officers performed chest compressions. MFD was able to regain a pulse and transported the subject to a local hospital where they later were pronounced deceased. Nothing suspicious identified.
- 2:10am - East – Trespass: Officers responded to a motel for a banned subject (35-year-old female) present. The subject was arrested on a probation/parole warrant and issued a citation for unlawful trespassing. While at the jail, the subject spit in an officer’s face. The subject was also charged with discharging bodily fluids at a public safety worker.
