Number of calls
From 6:00am on November 13 to 6:00am on November 14, we received 423 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials.
A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows:
- Central: 74
- East: 97
- Midtown: 74
- North: 63
- South: 43
- West: 58
- Other: 14
"Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the city. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.
Notable calls
Thursday, November 13:
- 9:03am - South – Check Person: Officers responded to a residence where property management reported that a woman said something about killing her baby. Officers placed the woman into protective custody for an emergency detention. Officers transported her to a local hospital. Journey Mental Health and CPS were consulted and assisted with the disposition.
- 10:18am - Midtown – Check Person: Officers assisted Journey Mental Health with an emergency detention.
- 4:35pm - South – Armed Robbery: Officers responded to McDonald's where a victim reported that two unidentified juveniles stole cash from him. Investigation continuing.
- 11:00pm - Central – Adult Arrested Person: Officers took into custody a 31-year-old male suspect who had probable cause for his arrest related to a previous incident. While being escorted to a squad, the suspect attempted to flee and kicked an officer. The suspect was newly charged with battery to public safety official, resisting, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of cocaine, and disorderly conduct.
Friday, November 14:
- 12:15am - Midtown – Suspicious Person: Dispatch received a report of someone trying to get into vehicles. Officers responded to the area and located the 18-year-old male suspect who fled on foot. Officers took him into custody and determined he had a warrant. The suspect was newly charged with resisting and felon in possession of a firearm.
- 1:13am - Midtown – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a residence where the 36-year-old male suspect used a knife to damage the victim's property. The suspect was arrested and charged with domestic disorderly conduct and damage to property.
- 3:55am - Midtown – Death Investigation: The wife of a 53-year-old man reported him missing. The man was located deceased at his workplace with no signs of trauma. Nothing suspicious on scene.
