The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last 24 hours.

Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

Number of calls

From 6:00am on November 6 to 6:00am on November 7, we received 431 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials.

A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows:

  • South: 34
  • West: 54
  • Other: 13

"Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the city. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Notable calls

Thursday, November 6:

  • 8:46am - East – Adult Arrested Person: DOC staff requested that officers take into custody a 40-year-old female suspect who had violated the terms of her supervision. The suspect was taken into custody without incident.
  • 11:54am - Central – Disturbance: A victim reported that the 31-year-old male suspect pulled her to the ground and took her phone when she attempted to call 911. The suspect was located but fled from officers and remains at large. Officers developed probable cause to arrest the suspect for battery, disorderly conduct, intimidation of a victim, and resisting.
  • 12:07pm - Midtown – Check Person: Officers assisted Journey Mental Health with an emergency detention at St Mary’s Hospital.
  • 12:53pm - West – Weapons Offense: Officers responded to a residence where a 39-year-old female suspect confronted a maintenance worker while armed with a knife. Officers developed probable cause to arrest the suspect for disorderly conduct while armed and false imprisonment. Suspect is at large.
  • 3:33pm - East – Domestic Disturbance: Officers initially responded to a residence where the 41-year-old male suspect requested a preserve the peace. The suspect then falsely reported that the resident at the address had pulled a gun on him. The suspect was cited for unlawful use of 911. The suspect repeatedly returned to the residence where he stole a package and attempted to enter through a window. The suspect was arrested and charged with theft, obstruction, and possession of THC.
  • 4:48pm - East – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a residence for a runaway juvenile complaint. A mother reported that her 14-year-old female daughter pushed her and left the home. Officers located the juvenile and transported her back home. After officers left, the juvenile caused a disturbance and threatened family members while armed with a knife. Officers developed probable cause to arrest the suspect for disorderly conduct while armed. Suspect is at large.
  • 4:58pm - West – OMVWI: Officers responded to the intersection of Schroeder Rd and S Gammon Rd for a two-vehicle crash. The suspect driver, a 21-year-old female, performed poorly on SFST and was arrested for OWI 1st.
  • 7:08pm - Midtown – OMVWI: Officers responded to the intersection of Allied Dr and Thurston Ln where the 45-year-old female driver struck a parked car. The suspect was arrested and charged with OWI 2nd.
  • 11:09pm - East – Weapons Offense Shots Fired: Officers responded to the area of Lien Rd and Autumn Lake Pkwy for several reports of shots fired. Officers located fired shell casings but observed no damage to property or signs of injured persons.
  • 11:30pm - East – Adult Arrested Person: During a traffic stop officers determined that two passengers in the vehicle had warrants for their arrest. A 35-year-old male and 30-year-old male were taken into custody.
  • 11:41pm - Central – Domestic Disturbance: Officers contacted the 24-year-old female suspect and victim in the 500 block of State St where the suspect grabbed the victim, yelled in her face and attempted to punch her. The suspect was arrested and charged with domestic disorderly conduct.

Friday, November 7:

Priority calls only from 1:12am to 2:22am due to calls for service.

  • 12:11am - South – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to the Super 8 Motel where the 38-year-old male suspect threw an object at the victim, causing injury. The suspect was arrested and charged with domestic battery and disorderly conduct.
  • 1:01am - Central – Hit and Run Crash: Officers responded to the intersection of N Pinckney St and E Gilman St where the suspect vehicle ran a stop sign and struck another vehicle. All occupants of the suspect vehicle fled the scene but were later located by officers. The 31-year-old male driver was cited for hit and run to an attended vehicle and numerous traffic violations.
  • 1:01am - Midtown – Disturbance Unwanted Person: Officers responded to McDonald's where the 30-year-old male suspect was highly intoxicated. The suspect was arrested for disorderly conduct, bail jumping, and a probation violation.
