Number of calls
From 6:00am on September 1 to 6:00am on September 2, we received 444 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials.
A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows:
- Central: 86
- East: 98
- Midtown: 78
- North: 73
- South: 44
- West: 51
- Other: 14
"Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Tuesday, September 1:
Priority calls only from 8:50am to 12:13pm due to calls for service.
- 8:09am – North – Battery: Officers responded to a residence for a disturbance involving a 14-year-old male subject. The subject physically assaulted a sibling and a cousin. The subject was arrested for battery (2 counts) and transported to the Juvenile Reception Center.
- 8:28am – West – Adult Arrested Person: A 43-year-old male subject approached an officer who was in their squad and started yelling at them. The subject was with their dog. The subject let their dog go and the dog jumped at the officer's squad damaging it. The subject continued yelling at the officer. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property, and a probation violation.
- 8:39am – Midtown – Stolen Auto: A vehicle was reported stolen from the street. The vehicle was left unlocked and with a key in it. Attempt to locate aired. The vehicle was listed as stolen in the appropriate databases.
- 8:48am – East – Check Person: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a possible suicidal subject. Officers made contact with a family member of the subject. Safety plan put into place. Attempts were made to talk with the subject, but they were unsuccessful. Crisis plugged in. Officers disengaged at this time.
- 12:02pm – Midtown – Missing Person: A 25-year-old female subject was reported as missing. Attempt to locate aired. The subject was listed as missing in the appropriate databases. *Subject located later in the day and returned home.
- 1:07pm – East – Domestic Disturbance: A 36-year-old male subject resides with his mother and is consistently yelling, screaming, and threatening her. The subject sends his mother hundreds of text messages. The subject was recently served with a notice to vacate. Probable cause developed to charge/arrest the subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and unlawful use of a telephone.
- 1:46pm – West – Disturbance: Officers responded to a residence for a disturbance involving a 17-year-old female subject. It was reported that the subject was armed with a kitchen knife. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct while armed and resisting.
- 4:08pm – Central – Check Person: A 46-year-old female subject was passed out near a grocery store. MFD responded to check on her. The subject woke up, walked into the grocery store, and started eating food off the shelf. MFD attempted to assess the subject but she was not cooperative. MPD responded and developed probable cause for trespass after notification. The subject was not cooperative with officers and resisted their efforts to place her under arrest. The subject was arrested for resisting and cited for trespass after notification.
- 10:06pm – North – Disturbance: Officers responded to the new men's shelter for a disturbance between two subjects. A 41-year-old male subject was arrested on a probation hold. A 50-year-old male subject was arrested on a probation hold and battery.
- 10:28pm – Central – Strong Armed Robbery: A victim reported being robbed. A weapon was not seen but implied. A second person reported that a male subject attempted to gain entry to their vehicle. Suspect description obtained. A 17-year-old male subject was found lurking in the area matching the description and detained. The subject was arrested for strong armed robbery, felony bail jumping, obstruction, disorderly conduct, and cited for trespass to vehicle.
Wednesday, September 2:
- 3:46am – East – Check Person: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a subject (24-year-old male) walking and acting strangely near railroad tracks on Walsh Rd. Subject contacted. Subject on probation. Probation placed a hold on the subject. The subject was transported to jail.
