Number of calls
From 6:00am on September 3 to 6:00am on September 4, we received 477 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials.
A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows:
- Central: 98
- East: 106
- Midtown: 83
- North: 64
- South: 54
- West: 62
- Other: 10
"Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the city. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.
Notable calls
Thursday, September 3:
Priority calls only from 10:25am to 7:33pm and from 11:06pm to midnight due to calls for service.
- 6:48am - North – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a residence where the 51-year-old male suspect was yelling at the victim who locked herself in the bathroom. The suspect attempted to force his way into the bathroom, and a family member intervened. The suspect was arrested and charged with domestic disorderly conduct.
- 7:43am - North – Assist EMS/Fire: Officers responded to a residence where a man was initially reported as not having a pulse and not breathing. MFD paramedics arrived on scene and informed that the patient was not PNB. Officers disengaged.
- 10:22am - West – Weapons Offense Shots Fired: Officers responded to the 7100 block of Tree Ln for multiple reports of shots fired. A victim was transported to the hospital to be treated for gunshot wounds. Investigation continuing.
- 2:11pm - Midtown – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a residence where the 25-year-old male suspect struck the victim and damaged a door. This suspect was arrested and charged with domestic disorderly conduct, battery and damage to property. A 19-year-old male suspect on scene disregarded officers' orders and was arrested for resisting and bail jumping.
- 4:57pm - North – Exposure: Officers responded to a park where the 69-year-old male suspect was urinating in public. The suspect was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.
- 11:00pm - South – Weapons Offense Shots Fired: Officers responded to a hospital to make contact with two gunshot victims. Officers determined that the two victims were in a vehicle with a third man who was not handling a firearm properly and accidentally discharged the gun. Investigation continuing.
- 11:40pm - West – Missing Adult: A woman reported that her elderly husband with dementia was missing. Officers located the man and reunited him with his wife.
Friday, September 4:
Priority calls only from midnight to 3:46am due to calls for service.
- 2:09am - East – Disturbance: Officers responded to a residence where a dispute between two women erupted into a fight. The 19-year-old female suspect was arrested and charged with threats to LE, disorderly conduct and obstructing. A 19-year-old male suspect was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting.
