Incident Details
Multiple people called for help after seeing a young child walking in middle of the street Sunday afternoon.
Officers were dispatched to the area of Milwaukee St. at N. Sprecher Rd. around 1:50 p.m.
The child is non-verbal and officers were unable to find his home.
Child Protective Services was contacted.
A family member returned home to find the child missing around 5:30 p.m.
The family member had left the child in the care of another adult who had fallen asleep.
