A man had recently purchased food he was approached by a group of teens in ski masks early Wednesday morning.
Officers were dispatched to the area of N. Lake St. and University Ave. around 12:55 a.m.
The teens asked for the bag and beat the man when he refused to give it to them.
The teens ran from the area before police arrived.
They were located and detained by officers in another agency. Two of the teens tried to run from those officers but were quickly taken into custody.
A 15-year-old male was arrested for battery, disorderly conduct, obstructing and resisting arrest.
A 16-year-old male was arrested for battery, disorderly conduct and resisting.
A 15-year-old male was arrested for battery and disorderly conduct.
All three teens were arrested to taken to Juvenile Reception Center.
