On 8-23-25 during the evening hours, the Madison Police Department responded to multiple complaints involving an unpermitted car meet-up taking place at Olbrich Park involving excessive noise and hazardous driving complaints, which involved approximately 125-150 vehicles. During the subsequent three hours, the MPD Central District Community Policing Team conducted traffic enforcement of this group of vehicles which repeatedly engaged in dangerous driving behaviors. Over a dozen motorcycles eluded attempted police stops which is a felony offense. Multiple traffic stops and a trespass enforcement operation ultimately resulted in a total of 22 citations issued. Citations issued included trespassing on posted private property, hazardous traffic violations, and noise violations. The traffic enforcement was mainly in the Atwood Ave area and the E. Washington Ave corridor.
