Wednesday evening, Madison officers were dispatched to the 7900 block of Tree Lane for reports of a woman with a knife fighting a man with a gun.
Officers arrived and detained both suspects. With assistance from bystanders, including video footage that showed a prolonged fight between the two suspects, along with assistance from Captain Patton, Lt. Esser, numerous detectives and very persistent patrol units, the gun was located in a ditch nearby.
This was a very dynamic and fast-moving scene. Both subjects were ultimately arrested for disorderly conduct while armed.
