Search continues for driver who hit, injured pedestrian

The Madison Police Department is asking for the public to submit any information they may have about a hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian.
Officers were dispatched to W. Washington Ave. at the Southwest Commuter Bike Path around 2:35 a.m. on Dec. 27, 2025.
The victim, a man in his thirties, was walking in the area when he was struck by a vehicle. A passerby found him lying unconscious on the ground and called 911 for help.
The victim was in the hospital for a week after suffering two fractured shoulder blames, five fractured ribs, an L3 vertebra facture and lacerations to his kidneys, liver and pancreas. He is still recovering from this incident.
The victim also lost his job as a delivery driver because his injuries have left him unable to work.
He and detectives are searching for the person responsible.
