Madison Police Respond to Disturbance and Make Several Arrests

Madison Police were sent to the 1400 Block of E Main St for a disturbance with possible firearms involved. When officers arrived, they could see approximately 9 people outside fighting. Police were able to stabilize the fighting and while contacting involved parties, others showed up and tried to incite further disturbances while officers were present. While officers were investigating, one male was reported to have a firearm. Officers contacted the male after frisking him, learned he did not have a firearm. Madison Police also checked the surrounding area and did not locate a firearm at this time.

During this incident, Madison Police arrested 8 people. 4 of them were taken to the Dane County Jail as they had open court cases and 4 of them were cited and released with municipal citations.
