Madison police respond to crash between e-bike, semi

Incident Details
A woman riding an electric bike was cited after crashing into a semi-truck downtown.
Officers were dispatched to the area of E. Mifflin St. and N. Blair St. around 6:10 a.m. on Monday.
The e-bike was traveling at a fast speed on outbound E. Mifflin St. The semi-truck was going south on Blair St. at E. Mifflin Street at a slower speed.
The cyclist ran a stop sign and did not slow down and struck the middle of the semi-truck. The cyclist was also watching something on her phone and wearing earbuds at the time of the crash.
She was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and cited for failing to stop at a stop sign.
