One injured in assault case on city's southeast side

One person was taken to the hospital after being assaulted by an acquaintance on the city's southeast side.
Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Turner Ave. and Pflaum Rd. around 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
After the assault, the suspect took the victim's phone and wallet.
The victim was taken to the hospital for his injuries.
The suspect was not at the scene when police arrived.
Around 7:40 a.m., someone called to report a driver passed out on High Crossing Blvd. This driver was ultimately pulled over in Sun Prairie and turned out to be the suspect in the battery case.
Kwame V. Lowe, 32, was arrested for substantial battery, strong armed robbery, OWI and possession of drug paraphernalia. He also had a warrant for his arrest out of another state.
