A man was arrested for driving under the influence following a traffic incident Thursday night.
A person called 911 after seeing a vehicle operating on its rim while on outbound E. Johnson St. near N. Brearly St.
Officers follow the gouge in the road to a home along the 500 block of N. Sherman Ave. The suspect's vehicle was in the driveway.
Officers were let inside the suspect home by a roommate. The suspect was found lying on a bed and began reaching under his pillow when contacted by officers.
The 22-year-old suspect was detained and a handgun was located under his pillow.
He was taken to the Dane County Jail on hit and run, OWI and going armed while intoxicated charges.
