Weapons Offense Leaves One Injured

Madison Police officers were called to an area hospital regarding a 32-year-old man arriving with a gunshot wound to the face. He is in stable condition.

Detectives learned that the victim was involved in a dispute in a parking lot adjacent to a local bar prior to being shot. A gun casing and broken glass were located.

Within 24 hours, Montrell D. Hannah was identified as the gunman by detectives. Search warrants were conducted at the 28-year-old supect's Madison residence and an associated residence in Sun Prairie. Multiple guns and drugs were seized as a result of the warrants.

Hannah was ultimately contacted and arrested near a relative's home in Sun Prairie. He is in the Dane County Jail facing a charge of attempted first-degree intentional homicide.
