Two guns recovered, teens arrested on north side

Two guns were recovered and two teenagers were arrested early Wednesday morning following an incident on the north side.

Officers were dispatched to an apartment building along the 900 block of Huxley St. around 12:35 a.m. after a gun was flashed during a disturbance.

The suspects were still on scene when officers arrived. Officers also noticed a gun in plain view of the vehicle they had been sitting inside.

Another gun was found during a search of the vehicle.

A 15-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy were arrested for possessing dangerous weapons by a person under 18. They were both taken to the Juvenile Reception Center.
