posted

Construction will begin on the Odana Hills Golf Course & Park this month. The design team is finalizing plans and securing permits for the golf course work. A public information meeting was hosted on Wednesday, October 7 to discuss revisions to the Odana Hills Golf Course Master Plan. The presentation slides PDF are available to view. There are upcoming opportunities this fall to learn more about the project and share your ideas and concerns. Regular updates about the Odana Hills Golf Course, Clubhouse and Park Improvements and the Odana Road Transportation Improvements will continue to be provided on the City Project Website.

Planned Start of Golf Course Construction

Pending receipt of permits, the Golf Course Improvements team plans to mobilize and begin staging the week of October 19. The front 9 (holes 1-9) will be closed effective October 26 as construction of the improvements begins. Some lighter construction work may begin the week of October 19 that would still allow play through the following weekend. Tree pruning and removal related to the course work will begin as early as October 15, with the Parks Arborist crew beginning work in the service drive area near the maintenance shop.

What this means for the remainder of the 2026 Golf Season:

There is even more time left to play all 18 holes at Odana this season. All 18 holes at Odana Hills Golf Course will be available through Sunday, October 25, 2026.  The annual Halloween Scramble will now be hosted at Odana the weekend of October 24&25 (just relocated from Yahara Hills). In addition, the phasing of the work has been adjusted, as follows:

  • Odana Hills Front 9 (holes 1-9):  Will be closed beginning Monday, October 26, 2026.
  • Odana Hills Back 9 (holes 10-18):  Will remain open through the end of the 2026 season.
