Boards, Commissions, and Committee Meetings

Note: This is not a complete list of meetings for this upcoming week. All meetings and their details can be found at the Meeting Schedule page.

  • Common Council – Discussion: The Common Council discussion will take place on Monday, August 24, at 5:00 p.m. in virtual format. The topic of the discussion is the City's approach to recent protests and the subsequent re-opening of Williamson & Baldwin St.
  • Transportation Commission: The Transportation Commission meeting will take place on Wednesday, August 26, at 5:00 p.m. in virtual format. Agenda items include Metro Transit's December service changes.

Public Information Meetings (PIMs)

  • Door Creek Watershed Study No. 3, Tuesday, August 25: The City of Madison is completing a watershed study in the Door Creek watershed (as shown below). The City of Madison contracted with an engineering consulting firm to complete the study. The watershed study will identify causes of existing flooding and then look at potential solutions to try to reduce flooding. A public information meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m., Aug. 25, 2026, via Zoom. Registration prior is required. 
  • Old Middleton Road Underpass of WSOR Railroad, Wednesday, August 26: The City is proposing a shared use path project to extend the existing University Crossing Bike Path towards Old Middleton Road and Craig Ave. The project includes an underpass of the WSOR Railroad. There is a virtual public information meeting scheduled for 6 p.m., Aug. 26, 2026, via Zoom. Registration prior is required. 
  • Dickson Pl, Irwin Pl, Dodge St, Carver St, Martin St Reconstruction, Thursday, August 27: The City of Madison is planning to reconstruct streets and utilities within the Lake Forest neighborhood over three phases of construction. A public information meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m., Aug. 27, 2026, via Zoom. Registration prior is required.

  • Live at The Glen | Harmonious Wail, Friday, August 28: The members of Harmonious Wail(external) are purveyors of Americana-infused Gypsy Jazz, who continue to take their listeners on a ride via the music of the Hot Club sounds of Parisian cafes, to the deepest blues of the Memphis Delta, to the heartfelt folk scenes across every-town-America.
