How Lovely Are Thy Branches - Opening Ceremony

On Sunday, the opening ceremony will have a special "glowing" hoop performance by Madison Circus Space members to open and energize the labyrinth. The public is invited to bring a light (no open flames are allowed). The Taco Local food truck will be at opening day selling snacks, soups and warm drinks. Kite Aerial Photographer, Craig Wilson, will be documenting the opening ceremony from the air. More details here.

WI Salt Awareness Week

This week, Wisconsin Salt Wise hosts a series of 30-minute webinars with area experts discussing the true cost of salt in our drinking water, homes, and freshwater ecosystems. Webinars start at 12:30 pm daily and last for 30 minutes on YouTube livestream. See the lineup to learn more or register here.

MLK Symposium – An Evening with Nikole Hannah-Jones

On Tuesday, join in community for an evening with Nikole Hannah-Jones, Pulitzer Prize-winning creator of The 1619 Project, staff writer at The New York Times Magazine, and co-founder of the Ida B. Wells Society for Investigative Reporting. Hannah-Jones will reflect on the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., through the lens of her award-winning work investigating racial injustice and the consequences of slavery in American history. Zion Proposal at Urban Design Commission

On Wednesday, the proposal to redevelop the Zion church site on Linden will be at Urban Design Commission for an informational presentation. You can find the details including a link to register here.

Kids Ice Fishing Day

On Saturday at Brittingham Park, there will be ice fishing instruction and free fishing equipment to the first 300 kids, 14 and under.  Free hot dogs and hot chocolate will be served. More details here.
