Madison Rehabilitation Loan Programs

posted

Effective immediately, the City of Madison's Community Development Division has reopened the application process for all Rehabilitation Loan Programs. The application process had been forced to close temporarily in March 2020 due to COVID-19 restrictions and staff are excited to begin working again with property owners in Madison to assist them with rehabilitation needs.

There is a pressing need to make financial and technical assistance available to property owners, especially those of low and moderate incomes, to stimulate investments in deteriorating residential structures in the City's older neighborhoods. Since program funds have been unavailable for more than 17 months, CDD will prioritize applications that involve emergency repairs. But other housing rehabilitation needs, like energy efficiency retrofits and accessibility modifications, will remain eligible.
