• Feedback Wanted for Urban Design Code Update Project: The City of Madison’s Planning Division is looking for public feedback as it evaluates the City’s decades-old urban design goals and guidelines. [posted October 31, 2025] There are three urban design districts in District 19:
  • District 2 is the area between the Beltline and Schroeder Rd.
  • District 3 is an area along Odana Rd west of Whitney Way
  • District 6 includes both sides of University Ave from Middleton to its junction with Old Middleton Rd.
• The Southwest Area Plan draft actions are now available on the city’s website for review and comment. Check them out and let us know what you think!
• DOT Madison Beltline Study: "WisDOT invites you to a virtual public involvement meeting for the Beltline Planning and Environment Linkages (PEL) study. The purpose of this public meeting is to present and gather feedback on the Preferred Strategy Package and the information included in the Draft PEL Summary Report. The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, December 4, at 5:30 PM. Meeting details will be available later.

• Board of Health for Madison and Dane County: The Board of Health for Madison and Dane County meeting will take place on Wednesday, November 5, at 5:00 p.m. in hybrid format. Agenda items include restricting the sales of hemp-derived cannabinoid products to those under the age of 21 and prohibiting the sale of cats or dogs in retail pet stores.

• Elver Bike n' Boogie - Southwest Area Plan!, Tuesday, November 4: The Southwest Area Plan is coming to the Park Edge/Park Ridge area to ask residents about public projects they'd like to see built in their neighborhood.
