About Alder Lemmer
Elected to represent District 3 in 2019, Lindsay brings her passion for advocacy and clear communications to the Madison Common Council.
Being an advocate for equality has been a consistent theme in her life and career. Lindsay has concurrently served as the president of the Wisconsin and Madison chapters of the National Organization for Women. She worked diligently to increase access to voting with the Dane County Voter ID Coalition. Lindsay has championed issues benefitting her community throughout her adult life.
Lindsay is a Senior Communications Strategist at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a proud member of United Faculty and Academic Staff, AFT Local 223. She grew up in Madison and loves her city. Lindsay is dedicated to helping it be an equitable and inclusive place for everyone.
She lives in Heritage Heights with her partner, Adam, cat Billie and dog Bella.
