Invitation from MMSD: Help Them Build for the Future
postedI'm sharing a message from the Madison Metro School district about their upcoming public engagement sessions for the school attendance area boundary review. This is an important topic for the Far East Side, where recent development patterns and timing have affected some schools' attendance areas far more than others. I've narrowed the list of in-person sessions to those taking place in/near the East Side.
From the District:
The Madison Metropolitan School District (MMSD) invites families, students, staff and community members to join us for upcoming “Building for the Future" engagement sessions.
This important, multi-year effort will guide how we plan for future enrollment, review attendance areas and ensure our schools align with Madison's continued growth. Your voice is a critical part of this process. To learn more and best prepare for the session, please visit our website.
At these sessions, you will:
- Learn why MMSD is conducting a boundary and attendance area review
- Explore enrollment trends, facility use and growth projections
- Gain a clear understanding of the process and timeline
- Ask questions and share your perspectives
- View draft boundary scenarios for feedback
No decisions have been made. We are in the input phase and want to hear directly from you.
