Hello neighbors,

With this lovely spring weather, I have been noticing a few new potholes in the neighborhood. As a reminder, you can report potholes to the Streets department online. Here are a few other items you can easily report:

West Area Open House - May 10

The West Area Plan team will host an Open House this Wednesday, May 10, 6:30-8:00pm at Lussier Community Education Center, 55 S. Gammon Road. City agencies will give short presentations on projects spanning land use planning, transportation, stormwater management, water quality protection, parks and open space and more. Residents will also have the chance to talk with staff to learn more including how these projects may affect them and how they can be involved. Visit the West Area Plan webpage to learn more, and to sign up for the email list to receive regular West Area Plan updates.

University Ave Construction to Continue Overnight

Tunneling of the 96-inch storm sewer beneath the intersection of Marshall Ct. and University Ave. will begin this week. Please note the tunneling is a continuous operation that will need to occur during the overnight hours. The contractor has noise abatement measures in place and will make every effort to minimize the disturbance. This work is anticipated to be completed by May 15.

Transit Network Redesign Updates!

Metro’s redesign is set to go into effect on Sunday, June 11:

  • Schedule information is now available at mymetrobus.com/redesign.
  • Currently, you can plan your trip using the Transit App. (Please be sure to set a travel date on or after June 11.)

  • Meadowlands and Tree Lane Resource Fairs: Does your organization provide activities, resources, or services that could benefit the children and families living in the Meadowlands and Tree Lane Apartments this summer? Public Health Madison & Dane County is hosting resource fairs at each of these locations in May.

Meadowlands Apartments – 6810 Milwaukee St., May 20th 12-3pm

Tree Lane Family Apartments – 7933 Tree Ln., May 24th 3-6 pm

If you would like to attend one or both of these fairs, please complete this survey by May 12 to assist with planning.
