This large eastside park is a popular location for youth soccer leagues and neighborhood children playing on the play equipment or riding their bikes on the trail going through the park and to Kennedy Elementary School.

In 2008 neighborhood volunteers assisted Parks conservation staff in installing prairie plants in the managed meadow areas in the park.

The large sun shelter has several picnic tables, electricity and a drinking fountain. This is a great location for a party of 50-70 people.
