Update on Yahara Hills Winter Disc Golf Course

Unfortunately, the Yahara Disc Golf Course, which has been open in previous years, will not reopen. In late fall of 2016, Madison Parks began offering winter disc golf at Yahara Hills Golf Course. This added amenity was well received by the disc golf community and continued during the winter months through the early spring of 2022, when the Millpond Road reconstruction project began, resulting in the permanent displacement of key disc golf holes.

Since the completion of the road project, we have carefully and extensively evaluated the disc golf area at Yahara Hills to try to again offer winter play. Significant changes to the course would be necessary due to the Millpond Rd construction.  The existing Yahara Hills disc golf course is located within a floodplain and subject to federal regulations, which require costly permitting and flood modeling, in addition to the construction costs of course reconfiguration. Due to this, the Yahara Disc Golf Course will not be reopening.
