In 2025, Midtown Commons Park expanded by 8.2 acres as part of a nearby residential development to the north. Madison Parks staff hosted two public engagement meetings to gather feedback on existing amenities and explore ideas for the expanded area. In addition to these meetings, an online survey was available to collect broader input on potential improvements. With community input, a Midtown Commons Master Plan was developed and approved by the Board of Park Commissioners in December 2025.
