Meeting and Event Highlights for the Week of March 2, 2026

- Plan Commission: Item 5 (Legistar 91646) on the March 2 agenda is for approval of a major alteration to the previously approved conditional use permit for the UW Health Digestive Health Center expansion at 750 University Row, more specifically, re-design of the parking garage. Note that due to a rescheduling of a related item on the Urban Design Commission agenda, items 9, 10, and 11 (Legistar 91459, 91512, and 91514) on the Plan Commission March 2 agenda are being referred (rescheduled) to the March 16 meeting.
- Urban Design Commission: Due to a technical issue, many agenda items from the February 18 UDC meeting were rescheduled to the March 4 meeting, including new agenda item 2 (Legistar 89886), a design review of the Bear Development project at 5555 Odana Rd and 5534 Medical Circle.
- Transportation Commission: Item 4 (Legistar 92140) on the March 4 agenda is the annual review of the updated Transportation Improvement Plan (TIP). This is a five-year prioritization of road resurfacing and reconstruction projects based on the latest assessment of pavement conditions and other metrics. A number of streets in District 19 are included in the five-year plan, particularly in Spring Harbor, Indian Hills, and Parkwood Hills as shown in the associated map.
- Public Input Meeting - Marshall Park, Tuesday, March 3 (Virtual): The City of Madison Parks Division is improving the playground at Marshall Park and we want your input. At this meeting City staff will present revised playground equipment options from input gathered at the playground workshop.
- Demonstrations and Assemblies Presentation: Madison Police Department will conduct training on Madison protocols for properly and safely exercising your First Amendment Rights. A presentation is being offered on Thursday, March 19, at 5:30 p.m. at the Midtown District station, 4020 Mineral Point Rd.

- Finance Committee: The Finance Committee meeting will take place on Monday, March 2, at 4:30 p.m. in virtual format. Agenda items include adding $4.0 million in TID 44-supported GO borrowing and authorizing the execution of a Purchase & Sale Agreement for the City to acquire property for the purposes of land banking in District 15.
- Plan Commission: The Plan Commission meeting will take place on Monday, March 2, at 5:30 p.m. in virtual format. Agenda items include development-related requests in Districts 1, 2, 12, 14, 15, 18, and 19.
- Urban Design Commission: The Urban Design Commission meeting will take place on Wednesday, March 4, at 4:30 p.m. in virtual format. Agenda items include development reviews in Districts 2, 12, 14, 16, and 19.
- Transportation Commission: The Transportation Commission meeting will take place on Wednesday, March 4, at 5:30 p.m. in virtual format. Agenda items include Commission duty and procedure updates, the Regent Street project, and annual review of the Transportation Improvement Plan (TIP).

Public Information Meetings (PIMs)
- Public Input Meeting - Olin Park, Wednesday, March 4 (Virtual): The pavilion in Olin Park, known as the Monona Lake Assembly Normal Hall, is one of the most historic buildings owned by the City of Madison and one of the most popular park shelters in Madison. The landmark building requires substantial structural and exterior repairs happening in 2026. The community is invited to a virtual public meeting as Parks and Engineering staff will provide information on the planned rehabilitation work for the Olin Park Pavilion – Normal Hall.
- Public Input Meeting - James Madison Park, Wednesday, March 4 (Virtual): The City of Madison Parks Division is improving the playground at James Madison Park and we want your input. - Virtual Open House | District 3 Parks, Thursday, March 5, 2026 (This event occurs on multiple dates): Madison Parks is holding a series of virtual public input sessions for the Southeast Park Development Plan process coinciding with the City Planning Division's Southeast Area Plan.

- Vaccine Clinic at Leopold Elementary School, Saturday, March 7: All vaccines are free for eligible individuals. Children six months and older who lack insurance, are under 19, and are either Alaskan Native or American Indian, as well as those with BadgerCare or most other types of insurance, can receive vaccinations at no cost.
