The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last 24 hours.

Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

Number of calls

From 6:00am on July 22 to 6:00am on July 23, we received 406 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials.

A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows:

  • Central: 97
  • East: 88
  • Midtown: 60  
  • North: 65
  • South: 36
  • West: 52
  • Other: 8

"Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Notable calls

 Wednesday, July 22:

Priority calls only from 1:16pm to 3:01am due to calls for service. 

 8:21am – North – Runaway Juvenile: A 13-year-old female subject was reported as a runway. Attempt to locate aired. The juvenile was listed as missing/runaway in the appropriate databases.  

  • 12:22pm – Midtown – Check Person: Officers responded to a local clinic for a subject who was under an emergency detention that was trying to leave the facility. Final outcome pending.
  • 10:24pm – Central – Adult Arrested Person: A 24-year-old male subject threatened to harm officers and blocked in a squad. OC was utilized so that the officer(s)/squad could move safely. The subject later went to the hospital to be seen for the OC exposure. The subject was placed under arrest for threats to law enforcement, disorderly conduct, resisting, and bail jumping.

Thursday, July 23:

  • 1:30am – South – Disturbance: The victim confronted an unknown male subject who parked in a lot to a complex that they did not reside at. The male subject brandished a knife and threatened to harm the victim. The subject fled from the area and remains at-large. No injuries reported.
