An update on the Odana Area Plan process will be presented to the Plan Commission on March 8, 2021. The information presented will be substantially similar to what was presented at the January Zoom public participation meetings. Plan Commission meetings are available for live viewing via the City Channel website, the City's YouTube channel, and on Charter (Ch. 994) or AT&T U-Verse TV (Ch. 99). People may also register to speak if they wish. The Plan Commission agenda is expected to be published on the City's Legislative Information Center the Friday before the meeting and will contain further information on how to watch and how to register.
The Odana Area Plan project web page has video from the January 21st public meeting, a summary of feedback from the 1/21 and 1/27 public meetings, the Powerpoint slides from the meetings, a "storymap" that walks through draft concepts for the area, and an interactive map for members of the public to provide comments.
Additional information and a schedule of public meetings for the Greater East Towne Area Plan will be coming this spring.

Zoom Registration is required.
March 11, 2021 Public Information Meeting Zoom Registration
University Ave is scheduled for reconstruction from Shorewood Boulevard/Hill St to University Bay Drive/Farley Ave. The City of Madison is jointly participating with the Village of Shorewood Hills on the design and construction. The project includes reconstruction of pavement, curb and gutter, sidewalk as necessary, street lighting, traffic signals, water main, sanitary sewer and storm sewer. Alternatives to improve pedestrian & bicycle connectivity, bus rapid transit initiatives and stormwater drainage have been reviewed, and the project plans have been updated to include a new pedestrian & bike overpass of University Bay Dr., a widened sidewalk along the southerly side of University Ave., and a 96-inch storm sewer pipe to help improve drainage in the area. The project continues to be coordinated with the City’s planning efforts for bus rapid transit.
The City of Madison, Village of Shorewood Hills and WisDOT continue to work on finalizing the design of the roadway, overpass structure and new utilities associated with the reconstruction project along with reviewing potential construction staging. In the spring of 2020, the roadway geometrics were approved by the Transportation Commission, Board of Public Works, and Common Council. Current plan, typical section, and overpass plan are posted.
As always, if there is anything I can do to help, feel free to reach out: district19@cityofmadison.com
